According to the previous chronology, Cuicuilco could be one of the oldest important populations of the Valley of Mexico, contemporary with the Olmec culture of Tabasco, which is considered the mother of all cultures, however Cuicuilco keeps many mysteries since it disappeared by the El Xitle volcano explosion causing the entire city to be buried in volcanic lava, similar to what happened in Pompeii, however when doing excavations, archaeologists managed to find what was its most important ceremonial center, a set of pyramids and very peculiar structures .
