Xochimilco National Park is located south of Mexico City and has an area of ​​165 hectares, this national park is the biggest and most importat wetland of Valley of Mexico and is recognized was declared by Unesco as a World Heritage Park, because the importance of their enviromental benefits and cultural way of prehispanic agriculture.

The fauna that can be observed are birds, insects, rodents, snakes and rabbits. It is an important point in the emigration routes of birds.
 

The most representative species of the park is the Xochimilco Axolotl, known worldwide for its medicinal properties, a species that is currently on the verge of extinction.
